The night’s feature game was between Dixon Cider and Thylakoid Threat. Both teams are veterans, and both have also won championships in past seasons, so you knew this game was going to be good. And, this game did not disappoint! Both teams were putting out their best defense, but the three ball was being favorable to both teams as well. Thlakoid hit a clutch three to go up 19-16, with under a minute to go. Dixon Cider responded by kicking it into high gear, and fought hard to tie it up. Thylakoid was able to get a last second shot off, but missed. When the final whistle blew, the scored was tied, 19-19, for a very competitive tie.

The Social highlight goes to all teams, as everyone was in good spirits tonight, and congratulatory towards people who made good plays.
Our game highlight of the night was between Monstars and Dippity Doo Doo. Dippity’s female came straight out of the block and nailed a three within the first couple shots of the game. Her team kept moving the ball around and getting the open bucket, and were soon off to a 6-1 lead. However, Monstars found their groove, and soon started answering back with three’s of their own. However, they couldn’t really stop the three ball, and down 17-12, Dippity’s female drained another ball from downtown, to end the game. The final was 20-12.

Our first game highlight was between Vertical Intensity and Don’t Make Me Popovich. Both teams have outstanding players, and in this showcase the female players on both teams stood out! However, it was the combined offensive capability of Popovich’s two tall females that won them the game. When the final whistle blew, Don’t Make Me Popovich won, 17-14.
Our second game highlight was between Tune Squad and Lake Minneonka Purifiers. Both teams have some veteran players, and stellar offensive capabilities. Tune Squad struck first and fast, with some outside shooting. However, the big men for Purifiers soon made their presence known on the boards, and made some crucial rebounds. It was this that decided the game, and when time ran out, Lake Minneonka Purifiers came out on top, 20-19.

All teams were excited for the new season.
Our first game highlight was between Lone Shooter and Dixon Cider. Dixon Cider is a great defensive team, and Lone Shooter lives up to their name offensively, so this had the makings to be an interesting match up! Both teams battled back and forth, and with the score tied 18-18 with under a minute left, finally Dixon Cider got an open basket and won, 20-18.
Our second game highlight was between Pau Chicka Wow Wow and Pippen Ain’t Easy. Both teams are veterans of previous seasons, so it was good to see familiar faces. Pau came out of the gates swinging, and jumped off to a quick lead. However, Pippen found their groove. Both teams kept exchanging blows, and, with time expiring and score tied at 15-15, Pippen drew a crucial fowl to go to the free throw line. A clutch time opportunity for Pippen to win the game, and the ball went in, with a final score 16-15.

Hispanic at the Disco!
Our first game highlight was between Thylakoid Threat and Dixon Cider. Both teams are veteran teams, and each has a championship under their belts, so this was a highly anticipated game, and it surely didn’t disappoint! Dixon Cider’s female came out strong, scoring some quick points. Thylakoid answered back. Despite going back and forth for most of the game, Thylakoid soon gained the upper hand and held strong. When the final whistle blew, Thylakoid Threat came out on top 20-18.
Our second game highlight was between Hispanic at the Disco and Dropping Dueces. Dueces kicked off to an early start, hitting back to back threes. However, phenomenal outside shooting from Hispanic soon put them up by a wide margin. Despite a late-game run by Dueces, it wasn’t enough, and Hispanic at the Disco came out with the win, 20-18.

Thylakoid Threat
Week Four is in the books, and what a great night of close games!!! Continue bringing your “A” games, only two more weeks left until playoffs!
Our first game highlight was between Thylakoid Threat and Toon Squad. Both teams are “veterans” with SSC, and this match-up was highly anticipated, matching up a great defensive team against a great scoring team. This game did not disappoint! Both teams had trouble scoring in the first few minutes, but once they got their first buckets, both teams became hard to stop. However, when the final bucket was scored, Thylakoid came out on top, 20-18.
Our second game highlight was between Rain Drop Drop Top and Brick House. Rain Drop can punish you from beyond the arc, and Brick House is a threat on the glass. Rain Drop got off to a quick start, but Brick House soon found their groove and quickly responded. Both teams kept exchanging buckets, but when the final goal was scored, Rain Drop Drop Top came out on top, 20-19

Pau Chick Wow Wow
Week Three is in the books, which means we’re now officially halfway through the season! Keep bringing your “A” game, teams, as we work our way closer to playoffs!
Our first game highlight was between Hoops I Did It Again and Game of Zones. From the very first whistle, neither team could get an edge up on the other, with both teams exchanging baskets with each other. With time winding down, and the score tied 15-15, Hoops had the chance to take the lead, but they missed their free throw, just as time expired. But a tie is always better than a loss, and the two teams registered a tie, 15-15.
The second game highlight was between Pau Chick Wow Wow and Dropping Deuces. Both teams have some phenomenal talent, with females that can hoop! While both teams didn’t have trouble finding the basket, Pau was able to score faster, and when the final whistle blew, they came out on top, 20-19.

The next big game of the night was between Hoop, I Did It Again against Hispanic at the Disco which was a defensive game that favored Hispanic at The Disco at the end of the game with a 15-14 victory.
It was a great night of basketball with many teams beginning to show life on the winning side of the bracket. This is definitely one of the most competitive seasons yet for SSC Basketball as many teams are bringing their A game out to the courts!

Our first game highlight was between our (9) seen team Big Easy and our (5) seed team Envy in the semi-final. Both teams had beat higher seeds to get to the game, and so both teams felt like they had a lot to prove. Despite an early offensive onslaught from Big Easy, most from their girl, Envy’s pinpoint accuracy from behind the arc soon catapulted them ahead, where they would remain, despite a valiant last-ditch effort from Big Easy. When all was said and done, Envy came out with the win 20-16.
Our second game highlight is from the championship game, between Envy and Grabbing Assists. Both teams have some spectacular outside shooters, but after having to play 3 games already (whereas Grabbing Assists got a first round bye), fatigue started to become a factor for Envy. Their outside shooting, normally accurate and reliable, just wasn’t falling for them. When the final whistle blew, Grabbing Assists was crowned our new champion, with a score of 21-9.
We want to extend another big thank you to all of our great teams and spectators this season! Each of you added to our already awesome environment, and we can’t wait to do this all over again soon!
(Please email the league for championship photo).

Our first game highlight was between Digital Dashers and Big Easy. Both teams came to play, and defense was spectacular. Big Easy’s female hit some crucial shots, but passing was a bit of an issue, and Digital Dashers took advantage! Along with that, they made some clutch rebounds, and when the final whistle blew, Digital Dashers came out on top, 16-14.
Our second game highlight was between If You Ain’t First… and 4 Kings and a Fair Maiden. 4 Kings are known for their beyond the arc shooting, and they weren’t slacking tonight! With some key shots, and rebounds, 4 Kings jumped to an early lead. However, If You Ain’t First soon found their game, and started challenging their opponents. After some lead changes, and with the clock winding down, 4 Kings’ female player nailed a three, which happened to also be the nail in the coffin. 4 Kings and Fair Maiden came out on top, 19-16.
