It was one exciting Week Six of basketball of the regular season as many teams showed up to make their final playoff push. Dixon Ciders finished in first place as the only undefeated team as they will be the team to beat in the playoffs, and anyone who is looking to dethrone them will be in for a challenge. Our second place finishers, Old Skool, will also be another team to watch out for as they finished 11-1 on the season.
Many teams gave it their all on the hardwood as many close games had spectators on their feet watching teams go head to head. Go Harden in the Paint faced Don’t Make Me Popovich in a very heated game as both teams played stingy defense and made it difficult for either offense to get going tonight. Both teams’ tough defense forced a number of turnovers, but Popovich came out with the win with a score of 16-14 as time expired. Duncan Donuts against Ballin’ was also another game which went back and forth with lead changes as Duncan Donuts first had the lead, but lost it with only five minutes left in the game. Ballin’s three-game caught fire in the last few minutes and that would ultimately be the difference maker in this match. The final score in this one would be 20-18.
Playoffs will be one for the books as the playing field for this one is very level. It will be a night of joy for some, and heartbreak for others. Make sure not to miss a minute of the action!
