All teams were excited for the new season.
Our first game highlight was between Lone Shooter and Dixon Cider. Dixon Cider is a great defensive team, and Lone Shooter lives up to their name offensively, so this had the makings to be an interesting match up! Both teams battled back and forth, and with the score tied 18-18 with under a minute left, finally Dixon Cider got an open basket and won, 20-18.
Our second game highlight was between Pau Chicka Wow Wow and Pippen Ain’t Easy. Both teams are veterans of previous seasons, so it was good to see familiar faces. Pau came out of the gates swinging, and jumped off to a quick lead. However, Pippen found their groove. Both teams kept exchanging blows, and, with time expiring and score tied at 15-15, Pippen drew a crucial fowl to go to the free throw line. A clutch time opportunity for Pippen to win the game, and the ball went in, with a final score 16-15.
