Split or Swallow
We’ve finally made it into the finals of Tuesday bowling and at this point, all pins would matter. Teams made an effort to pace their play and their consumption to keep up with their opponents, however, only the pace seemed to stick after a few frames.
Pins Pals made it into the finals in the last playoff spot. Their reward was Lucky Strikes who went 7-1 during the season. Although the scores were close, Strikes seemed to have the edge until their lane broke down for 15 minutes. In those 15 minutes, Strikes got cold while Pin Pals heated up, finishing with 162 pins in the final two frames. That included a rare turkey sighting. Once Lucky Strikes were back up and bowling, they had lost their touch and only managed a sad 63 pins in their final two frames. They suffered a heartbreaker, 920-900.
Pin Pals would be joined in the finals by Split or Swallow. Split or Swallow had a rough start to the season and entered with the highest handicap. Somehow, miraculously, they found their game in these last two weeks. After last weeks four-figure performance, they followed that up with a 980 in order to beat Spareless Whisper by nearly a hundred pins.
Their fantastic performances continued in the finals as they put up an impressive 971. Once again that was nearly 100 pins better than their opponents and once the initial Tuesday bowling championship 971-880. Congratulations!
