Don’t Peg Me
Week Two of the dodgeball season brought with it some excellent match-ups! Teams at the top faced off with each other while teams at the bottom did the same.
The night began with Duck Duck Dodge taking on Gotcha. Both teams are veterans and have a realistic dream of winning it all. Unfortunately for Duck Duck Dodge, they entered this match-up short on players. That did not stop them from putting up a good fight, but Gotcha was able to use their superior numbers to win 4-1.
The night wouldn’t get any easier for Gotcha as they faced Don’t Peg Me. Peg Me was coming off of a victory of their own against Reservoir Dodge. A quick victory in that match up allowed them plenty of time to warm up via pick up games. That warm up seemed to do them well as they kept up game-for-game with Gotcha. However, Don’t Peg Me may have learned that no amount of practice can replace season upon season of experience. Gotcha was able to pull it together and win the final two for a 4-2 victory.
After a rough start to the season, Reservoir Dodge seems to be turning a bit of a corner. Winless through their first four games this season, they didn’t go down without a fight in the last game of the evening. They took on Dodging and Creaming and found themselves down three games to one. They managed to win the next two games to force a deciding game seven. While they would come up in the final game the result showed great promise going forward in the season
