Midway Point! (Wednesday’s)

New Kicks on The Block

Round Two of the season is here! Teams got to square off with their opponent from Week One and had the chance to change the fortunes from their first encounters.

Over on Court One, we had Oracle take on Kickin Ain’t Easy. Oracle came in looking to rebound after suffering their first loss against Kickin Ain’t Easy. They got off to a hot start, bringing in two runs in the first two innings while holding KAE to one. They would add on two more in their final at-bat (kick?) and enter the bottom half of the last inning with a three-run advantage. Kickin Ain’t Easy were able to bring in three runs to tie it up in their final at bat! However, they were unable to find that winning run and this game would end in a tie by a score of 4 to 4.

On Court Two, New Kicks on the Block looked to bounce back after suffering their first loss last week. This game was a defensive battle! The score was tied at zero until the fifth inning when teams finally started to get their groove going. NKOTB were able to bring in three runs in the sixth. Sons of Pitches were finding their kicks and would bring in four in the bottom of the sixth. NKOTB had a quick response, scoring four in the top half of the seventh. Sons of Pitches had three outs to get three runs, but were unable to do so. NKOTB would hold on for a 7 to 5 victory.
