With the weather cooperating yet again Tuesday night kickball was packed with games as we try and make up for the delays.
The night started off well for New Kicks On The Block in their match with Kickin’ Ain’t Easy. New Kicks started the game by scoring in their first two innings and backed that up with outstanding defense. However, Kickin’ Ain’t Easy showed that they could play some defense of their own as they blanked them over the next three innings. With the game winding down, Kickin’ Ain’t Easy was able to score some runs of their own to make it a 3-2 game. Sadly for them that would be as close as they would come and they fell 5-2.
TQL made their first appearances of the season and capped off the night with a down to the wire match against Got The Runs. It was a low scoring game throughout with TQL managing a narrow lead the whole way. However, in the sixth inning Got The Runs would make their move scoring two runs to tie the game. With their final at bats of the game, TQL could either be happy with a tie or overjoyed with a win. They would leave the fields overjoyed as Got The Runs threw the ball at someone who had just made it to third base. The resulting ricochet allowed them to score the winning run, a 3-2 victory.
