Kicking Miracles! (Tuesday’s)

One Kick Wonders

Another exciting night out at Olmos with two close finishes, both on Field 2!

The night started out with a stalemate between TQL and Kickin’ Ain’t Easy. While both teams were able to score in the opening inning, the offenses went silent quickly afterwards. As the game wore on, it seemed that whoever scored next would emerge victorious. Kickin’ Ain’t Easy would be the first to break the deadlock, picking up a run in the fifth. It looked like things were going even better for them when they scored three more runs in the seventh. However, that’s when TQL amped up their efforts.   Batter after batter was able to get on base as they steadily chipped away at the lead. Eventually they would score four runs of their own to tie the game at five-up to end the game in a tie.

Hotline Bling had a comeback attempt of their own in the following game. They started their game against One Kick Wonders in spectacular fashion, scoring three runs in the first inning. However, from there they were able to do little offensively and even less defensively. By the time the sixth inning arrived they found themselves trailing 11-4. But undeterred, they pressed on in their final at bats. With aggressive base running they were able to score four runs on two plays where One Kick Wonders tried to peg a player running home. They would add two more runs, but six was not enough as they fell 11-10 despite their valiant comeback.
