Final Stretch! (Wednesday’s)

Kinky Sets

What a way to wind down another great season! Though we have one week left of the regular season, many teams have an idea of where they stand, while other understand the importance of next week! Whether a team is high or low in the standings, what’s most important is that we can tell every team is having a blast on Wednesday nights!

We have a number of shout-outs to give this week as there have been a number of teams who have consistently stayed late to party with us after the last matches of the night. These teams include: Block You Like a Hurricane, I’d Hit That and Kinky Sets! Thank you to all of these teams and we hope to see even more of you with us next week for our final week of the regular season! Then, head over to the Hangar for pitchers of Bud Light and the Cards Against Humanity tournament!

In our Super Social featured game of the evening, we had Sets in the City and Sand Balls in a battle for standings position! Both would enter with identical 2-3 records so there was obvious urgency for both teams. The entire match would seem to go point for point, but it began with the first set belonging to Balls, 25-17. Balls would hope to continue their momentum set two, but would fall short 25-20. In a third set that came down to errors, Balls would make a few too many mistakes and suffer the heartbreaking loss at the hands of City, 15-13. Likely post-season match-up that could go either way!

On our Social side, in a battle for third place, Rehab Dream Team would look to come off their bye week with a win, while Block You Like a Hurricane would look to avenge their tough loss last week. Rehab would come out swinging, but Hurricane’s name truly reveals their identity as they were able to record a number of successful blocks! The match would go to Hurricane with two straight victorious sets winning by margins of 5 and 9, respectively. But don’t count Rehab out, as they’ve previously proven that they aren’t a team in that you can sleep on come playoffs.

Thanks to everyone and we look forward to an awesome last week on Wednesday nights at Factory of Champions!
