Sand Blasters
Week Two is here at Mainland! This turned out to be a battle night as three of our four games tonight went to three sets!
Our first game of the evening put the free agents of Spiked Punch up against How I Set Your Mother. Spiked Punch would take the first set by nine, but How I Set Your Mother were able to get a four point victory in the second, forcing a game three. Spiked Punch would take this set and the win by a score of 15 to 8.
Over on Court Two we had Bumping Uglies look pretty impressive over Spikological Warfare. They were able to shut down Warfare in the first two sets and get an impressive W over an experienced opponent.
Next up we had Notorious DIG and the Sand Blasters take each other on it what could be a preview of things to come in the playoffs. Sand Blasters took the first set by three points, but Notorious would bounce back in the second and win by five, forcing a game three to decide it. It was back and forth the entire game, but the Sand Blasters were able to take the W by a score of 15 to 12.
Our last game of the night put Gold Crashers up against Summer Luvin. Summer Luvin started off hot! They took the first set by 12 points and looked to have an easy W on their court. Gold Crashers were able to get things figured out and were able to bounce back in the second set, completing a comeback to force a game three. Summer Luvin still had some magic in the tank, as they were able to get the win by a significant margin.
