Week Three is here at Monterrey! Another exciting week of SSC Softball!
Our first game of the evening put the Accenture squad up against the Hit Squad. Accenture started off hot, bringing in seven runs in their first two AB’s, while holding Hit Squad to only one. Accenture would add five more to their lead giving them a pretty decent cushion, but the Hit Squad had last at bat. They would bring in four in their final AB of the night, which wasn’t enough to surpass Accenture’s lead. Final score was 12 to 5.
Next up we had Slappadabase go up against HITT. Slappadabase were firing on all cylinders tonight as they were able to place the ball with ease and take advantage of what the defense was giving them. They would walk away with a 13 to 5 victory.
Our third game of the night put the Oilers up against the Wild Things. The Oilers were on fire today, as they were able to use their softball skills to run to a 15 to 1 W.
Our final game was the game of the night! Esquires would take on the Pitch Slappers! This game was back and forth the entire way with neither team able to take advantage. Pitch Slappers would bring in four runs in the last inning to take a five-run lead, but Esquires were the home team and had the last say in the matter. They would bring in four runs, but it wasn’t enough to pull off the comeback. Pitch Slappers win by a score of 9 to 8.
