We’re All Designated Drinkers! (Sunday’s – Tony Martinez)

Designated Drinkers

Designated Drinkers

Another awesome week of softball is in the books! This week we had some of our top teams look to stay up there, while others tried and prove that they belong in the top. Either way, this week was a ton of fun. After taking a week off from the rain, everyone came out to enjoy the sun and softball. Things were back to normal and Tony Martinez and it couldn’t have been better!

Our first game put the Scoregasms up against the Outlawz. The Scoregasms were looking to keep their undefeated record in tact while the Outlawz were looking to spoil their party. This game was close until the third inning when the Scoregasms were able to take control. After a slow start they were able to come out on top by a score of 6-3.

Next up we had Hold My D looking to extend their undefeated season in a game that looked dark in the beginning. Bomb Squad came on the field with a mission: to prove they belong in the top tier. They got off to a hot start, putting up six runs in the first two innings while only allowing 1. Bomb Squad was up 7 to 3 in the final inning. Hold My D was the home team so they had one last shot. Hold My D was able to get it together and get back to their winning ways. They went on to score 9 runs in their final chance; taking the W and keeping the streak alive by a score of 12 to 7.

Next up we had the Justice League take on High Risk. Justice League got off to a hot start and wouldn’t look back. They scored 16 runs in the first three innings and were able to play some solid defense, winning by a score of 16 to 6.

Next up we had Thunderstruck also looking to stay perfect against Smash and Dash. This game was close up until the 4th inning when Thunderstruck was able to get things rolling. They were able to break the tie for good, winning by a score of 8 to 5.

Our final game of the evening featured the Suicide Squad go up against the Designated Drinkers. Designated Drinkers were finally able to pitch some strikes and keep Suicide Squad off of the hit list. The DD’s would take it by a score of 6-2.
