Ninja Gummy Bears
(February 27) Week Three! After our week off, teams looked to reclaim the field and fight for that coveted playoff spot. With each win becoming ever more crucial as we find through the grind of the season, teams were locked and loaded tonight!
Our Social Team of the Week is Ninja Gummy Bears! Contrary to most nights, the Bears thought it would be a great night to sit out and enjoy the beautiful Texas evening! They would sit, laugh and watch great SSC soccer until we closed up STAR! Great social examples!
Our Social Team of the Week tonight would take on the tough Infinite Sprinkles! Going into the half, this match would so close that one would believe it might end in a nil-nil tie. However, the Bears turned up the heat on the chilly evening by erupting for two female and one male goal! This would end 6-1 in their favor.
Across from them, we saw the Muffin Stuffers take on Guinness and Pies. This match-up featured spectacular ball movement and even fancy footwork. Our halftime score in this one was 1-0 in Guinness’ favor. After the half, Guinness’ second goal just took one pass to set up their player who would weave his way all the way to the back of the net. Not to be outdone, Muffin Stuffers would have back to back male goals to tie up the game. But the fancy play didn’t stop there as Guinness would break the tie with another male goal and put them up 3-2. With about seven minutes remaining, Stuffers had their opportunities to tie up the game, but stout defense prevented this comeback. Great game!
